Ingredients:
Beetroot - 3 medium sizes
Potato - 2
Onion - 2
Green chillies - 2
Green coriander - 5 strings
Chat masala - 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala - 1tsp
Red Chilli powder - 1tsp
Gram flour - 3tbs
Rice flour - 5 tbs
Ginger & Garlic paste - 1tsp
Bread crumbs - 25gms
Salt to taste
Water
Oil
Method/ Vidhiee:
1. Peel the skin of beetroot and grate well.
2. Cut the potato into big chunks and boil them. Peel off the skin and mash well.
3. Finely chop onions, green chillies & green coriander.
4. In a bowl put beetroot, potatoes,green chillies, green coriander, onions and mix well.
5. Add chat masala, garam masala,ginger garlic paste, salt, gram flour & 3tbs of rice flour and mix well.
6. Do not add water until required. Mix tight.
7. Make small balls or heart shaped dough.
8. In a small bowl add the remaining rice flour and put water to it and make a semi liquid.
9. Dip the flattened balls on to the rice mixture then dust with bread crumbs.
10. Take a tawa heat it @ medium add oil 2 spoons and place the flattened balls on to it.
11. Shallow fry them on tawa by adsing few drops of oil while turning each side.
12. Once it turns light brown it is ready to be served.
13. Do not keep the flame @ high.
Serve hot with tomato sauce, chilli sauce, mint chutney.
Tip : If you are not health concious you can deep fry them.
